Boosting IT investments in Ukraine
The Government of Ukraine is taking steps to unlock the potential of Ukraine’s IT sector.

United Arab Emirates and Ukraine sign memos and contracts worth $3 billion
As part of the official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United Arab Emirates, the Ukrainian delegation signed a number of memorandums and contracts totaling $3 billion or more. In particular, memorandums of understanding were signed between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Mubadala investment company.
The parties are aimed at deepening cooperation in the development of promising investment projects and the participation of the Emirate side in the program of privatization of state-owned property in Ukraine.
Ukraine and Japan start to negotiate free trade agreement
Sergiy Korsunsky, Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan concerned the beginning of negotiations on a free trade agreement and updating the convention on the avoidance of double taxation. A draft of a new convention has been submitted to the Japanese side.
The diplomat expects that consultations on this matter will be completed soon
Ukraine can become a guarantor of food security in the UAE
During his visit to the UAE, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy told WAM, the Emirates News Agency: “We are among the world leaders in the export of wheat, corn and barley.”
Last year, Ukraine exported $252 million worth of food to the UAE. Zelenskiy noted that Ukraine’s pavilion at the World Expo that opens in Dubai in October will be shaped like a 15-meter high sheaf of wheat.
Industrial visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU
Liberalization of trade between Ukraine and the EU and the integration of the country’s energy system into the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) are concrete Government steps for further European integration of Ukraine.
