Head of the Financial Instruments and Partnerships Division

UkraineInvest is Ukraine’s national investment promotion and support office, established by the Government of Ukraine to facilitate investment in the country’s economy.

The Office promotes priority investment projects, facilitates partnerships between investors and Ukrainian businesses, supports investors throughout the entire investment process, and contributes to building a positive international investment image of Ukraine. UkraineInvest works closely with government authorities, international financial institutions, global investors, and private-sector representatives, serving as a key institutional bridge between the government, businesses, and international partners.

UkraineInvest is seeking a highly qualified professional to lead the Financial Instruments and Partnerships Service, develop cooperation with national and international financial institutions, and coordinate UkraineInvest’s activities related to attracting financing, securing insurance, and implementing investment support programmes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic partnerships with international financial institutions, development finance institutions, banks, export credit agencies, insurance companies, and institutional investors;
  • Develop long-term cooperation frameworks and coordinate joint initiatives with financial partners;
  • Identify new financing opportunities for investment projects in priority countries and sectors;
  • Advise investors on available financing, guarantee, insurance, and blended-finance instruments;
  • Assess the eligibility of investment projects against the requirements of financial institutions and programmes;
  • Present priority investment projects to potential financial partners;
  • Support project preparation for financing and coordinate dialogue between investors and financial institutions;
  • Monitor international financing programmes, investment support instruments, and financial market trends;
  • Prepare analytical, background, and presentation materials on financial instruments and investment cases;
  • Develop proposals to improve investors’ access to financing;
  • Represent UkraineInvest in meetings with financial institutions and international partners, as well as at investment forums, conferences, and business missions in Ukraine and abroad.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in finance, management, economics, international relations, or a related field;
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience;
  • Experience in corporate finance, investment banking, project, infrastructure or development finance, commercial banking, international financial institutions, or consulting;
  • In-depth understanding of financial instruments, investment finance, and international capital markets;
  • Experience working with international financial institutions or development partners would be an advantage;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare high-quality presentation materials;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills;
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English;
  • A high level of self-organisation, accountability, and a results-oriented approach.
