UkraineInvest experts, Oleksandr Melnychenko and Maksym Bondarenko, shared practical insights during an intensive seminar for Kyiv-based entrepreneurs. They presented modern and successful investment case studies from UkraineInvest’s experience.
Oleksandr Melnychenko, Head of the Legal Department at UkraineInvest, explained how the organization supports investors – from legal guidance to communication with government authorities. He emphasized that Ukraine offers businesses unique tools for investment, including the Law “On State Support for Investment Projects with Significant Investments.” This law enables businesses to invest in Ukraine’s recovery now.
Investors who commit more than EUR 12 million can receive various benefits and incentives. These include reimbursement of up to 30% of the investment (e.g., up to EUR 3.6 million for a EUR 12 million investment), coverage of costs related to connecting to infrastructure and transportation networks, exemption from corporate income tax and import duties on new equipment and components, exemption or reduced rates on land tax or rent, and the right to choose the court jurisdiction in case of disputes.
The educational program “Investment Projects and Financial Resources: Practical Cases” was organized by the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Kyiv City State Administration. The event aimed to promote cooperation with medium and large businesses in Kyiv. Its goal was to equip businesses with tools to attract investment and strengthen their market positions. Over 100 participants discussed strategies for scaling up their businesses – from foreign direct investment to EU grants.
