UkraineInvest and JETRO experts discuss new formats of support for Japanese investors in Ukraine

The UkraineInvest team held a meeting with representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) – Takahiro Miyagawa, Director General of the JETRO office in Prague, and Yasuyuki Ishiga, Director General of the JETRO office in Warsaw.

This was Mr. Miyagawa’s first visit to Ukraine. As he noted, “the main purpose of the trip is to collect up-to-date local information and explore new ways of supporting Japanese companies entering the Ukrainian market, including through cooperation with third countries.”

During the meeting, UkraineInvest presented the office’s activities, functions, and approaches to gathering and sharing information with partners. Special attention was given to opportunities for organizing joint events that would enable Japanese companies to gain a deeper understanding of Ukraine’s investment environment, access practical information on doing business, and explore available investment opportunities.

Both sides agreed to consider further cooperation formats, including information webinars and business forums, aimed at expanding the presence of Japanese investors in Ukraine.
