During the past decade Turkey has emerged as one of Ukraine’s key economic partners. Currently, there are more than 600 Turkish companies successfully operating in Ukraine, among them Turkcell, Guris, TerraTarsa, Agro Produkt Kherson, Pegasus Airlines. 💸The total amount of Turkish investments in Ukraine in 2019 reached $324 million.
Event organized by the Торгово-промислова палата України / Ukrainian CCI for Turkish and Ukrainian business community reflected the growing importance of bilateral business ties between the two Black Sea neighbors.
Sergiy Tsivkach, the executive director at UkraineInvest, took part in the discussion and highlighted the key sectors for Turkish investments:
☑️ infrastructure: concessions and PPP
☑️ telecommunications, as Turkish Turkcell owns the third-biggest mobile operator in Ukraine – Lifecell
☑️ privatization of the state assets
Moreover, law No. 3760 On State Support for Investment Projects with Large Investments which recently passed the first reading, will provide incentives for foreign businesses. While the updated Invest Atlas 2.0, which is currently being prepared by the UkraineInvest team, will become the exhaustive source of investment projects in the variety of sectors of Ukraine’s economy.
