At the initiative of UkraineInvest, the second professional seminar dedicated to current issues in investment protection in Ukraine was held. The event marked another step towards building a sustainable platform for interagency cooperation, the exchange of practical experience, and the development of effective solutions aimed at creating a secure environment for investors.

The seminar featured speakers from the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, including Oleksandr Maksymenko, Head of the Investment Protection Unit and Prosecutorial Specialization Implementation of the Department for Criminal Policy and Investment Protection, and Olena Panasenko, Head of a Division within the same unit.

During the presentations, the speakers focused on the mechanisms for investment protection that exist within the prosecutorial system. In particular, the following issues were discussed:

– cooperation with business associations and other institutions involved in investor protection;

– the procedure for handling individual complaints from entrepreneurs;

– systemic changes aimed at strengthening oversight of investor rights compliance;

– specific aspects of protecting businesses as victims in criminal proceedings.

Special attention was given to the work of the dashboard of the Office of the Prosecutor Generalhttps://dashboard.gp.gov.ua, which provides open access to statistical data on criminal proceedings. Currently, anyone interested in the interaction between law enforcement agencies and the state can view the current situation regarding criminal proceedings of the relevant category online.
