On May 28, the 5th Ukrainian Diaspora Business Forum titled “The Global Ukrainian Community in Times of Challenges – the Diaspora for Ukraine” was held at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest, Oleksandr Melnychenko, addressed the forum participants, emphasizing the crucial role the diaspora can play in attracting foreign investment to Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian diaspora is not just millions of people in over 100 countries — it is a powerful force that brings together knowledge, experience, trust, networks, and resources. You are Ukraine’s ambassadors to the world and our partners in international business circles. You understand both worlds — Ukraine’s potential and the logic of Western business,” he stated.
Oleksandr Melnychenko also highlighted Ukraine’s key advantages for investors, including a highly skilled workforce, strategic geographic location, abundant natural resources, tax incentives, war risk insurance, and compensation mechanisms provided by the Law on State Support for Investment Projects with Significant Investments.
“Our shared goal with the Ukrainian diaspora is to help build Ukraine’s economy. UkraineInvest will provide professional support to all investors ready to cooperate,” he concluded.
The Ukrainian Diaspora Business Forum demonstrated the global Ukrainian community’s readiness to actively contribute to strengthening the country’s economic potential and to support Ukraine’s integration into global economic processes. The event brought together entrepreneurs, diplomats, experts, and representatives of Ukrainian communities from around the world.
