Rebuilding Ukraine Through Investment: Key Highlights from the Business Mission in Warsaw

On May 13–14, 2025, a business mission took place in Warsaw, bringing together representatives of regional state administrations, local governments of Ukraine, and the construction sector. UkraineInvest was represented by Nazar Kohut, a senior expert from the Investment Advisory Department.

UkraineInvest’s participation in such events is part of its broader effort to improve the investment climate, promote opportunities for international businesses, and strengthen cooperation with key partners in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

As part of the mission, UkraineInvest’s expert took part in the 3rd International Convention “Construction Poland–Ukraine,” which gathered around 150 participants, including representatives of businesses, public institutions, and international organizations.

Key topics of the Convention included:

  • Geostrategic and socio-economic conditions for Polish-Ukrainian cooperation;
  • Participation of Polish companies in international tenders for Ukraine’s reconstruction;
  • Tools for investor support and the implementation of construction projects in Ukraine;
  • Economic and legal reforms aimed at improving the investment environment.

The Ukrainian delegation, which included representatives of 25 construction companies and 17 local self-government bodies, studied Poland’s experience in implementing large-scale infrastructure and cultural projects. In particular, participants visited Warsaw’s new West Railway Station (with investments totaling PLN 2.4 billion) and the Museum of Modern Art (PLN 700 million in investment).

Additionally, a dedicated training seminar on “Investor Service Standards” was held for Ukrainian officials. The seminar was part of the project “Supporting the Development of Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Ukrainian Regions,” implemented by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Polish Association of Construction Industry Employers (PZPB), with support from the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology and under the patronage of Paweł Kowal, Chair of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine.
