UkraineInvest initiates dialogue with the Swedish business community

The UkraineInvest team held a meeting with a Swedish business delegation. Representatives of leading Swedish companies expressed interest in learning about the government support mechanisms for significant investment projects facilitated by UkraineInvest.

During the meeting, the Swedish delegation was provided with detailed information about institutional support available to investors in Ukraine, existing investment cases, and the state support tools currently in place. The discussion also highlighted the advantages available to foreign companies considering investments in key sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

The two sides outlined potential areas for further cooperation and began working on practical steps to implement them. In particular, it was agreed to establish direct communication between UkraineInvest experts and Swedish business representatives, exchange information on potential investment projects, and engage in joint initiatives.

The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest, Oleksandr Melnychenko, and President of the Swedish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in Scandinavia, Lіudmyla Lemrini.

The document affirms both parties’ shared interest in strengthening business ties between Ukraine and Sweden, especially in attracting significant investments.

The Swedish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in Scandinavia (SUCC), established in 2017, actively promotes economic and trade relations between the two countries. In collaboration with government institutions and other partners, the Chamber supports Swedish companies in entering the Ukrainian market and implementing joint projects.

UkraineInvest places strong emphasis on building partnerships with Scandinavian investors. In 2025, one of our key goals is to develop effective mechanisms to attract, in particular, Swedish companies to implement large-scale investment projects in Ukraine. In this context, direct dialogue with the business community and cooperation with chambers of commerce play a vital role,” stated Oleksandr Melnychenko.

The meeting was attended by the following Swedish companies:

  • Aityr AB – exploring cooperation in digitalization, energy, and security;
  • Aquilon Solutions AB – interested in implementing IT solutions for the public and private sectors;
  • Spacemetric AB – seeking opportunities in the fields of defense and infrastructure monitoring;
  • Soya Group AB – showing interest in public-private partnerships and sustainable logistics solutions;
