Six months after signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between UkraineInvest and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the partners have achieved several milestones in the development of the investment dialogue between Ukraine and Japan.
The Memorandum has strengthened business ties, enhancing cooperation and promoting Ukraine’s investment opportunities to the Japanese business community.
Nearly 400 Japanese business representatives explored investment opportunities in Ukraine during a special webinar in March. UkraineInvest experts provided detailed information on the investment environment, doing business under wartime conditions, priority investment sectors and available government support mechanisms for investors.
In addition, a series of bilateral meetings served as an important platform for discussing specific areas of cooperation, exchanging experiences and showcasing Ukraine’s investment potential. The partnership with JETRO also deepened ties with Keidanren and JICA and enhanced advisory support for Japanese companies interested in Ukraine. Representatives of the Japanese government and business sector were also introduced to the Law of Ukraine On State Support for Investment Projects with Significant Investments in Ukraine, as well as to numerous analytical guides prepared by the UkraineInvest team. The Japanese partners were also introduced to the investment practice in Ukraine, where UkraineInvest is not only an institution for attracting foreign business, but also a reliable partner that accompanies investors at all stages of project implementation – from the idea to its realisation.
The cooperation between JETRO and UkraineInvest opens new horizons for Japanese companies interested in investing in the Ukrainian economy.
