Ukraine opens new opportunities for European businesses – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the Ukraine-EU Business Summit

On 10 April, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in the Ukraine-EU Business Summit in Brussels. In his speech he emphasised that Ukraine is becoming a promising new destination for European investment.

The Prime Minister outlined several key areas where Ukraine offers strategic advantages for investors:

  • Energy security 
  • Critical raw materials 
  • Post-war reconstruction 
  • Defence industry 
  • Agricultural sector 
  • IT and digitalisation 

He also highlighted Ukraine’s active implementation of EU legislation in all sectors, which increases institutional reliability and predictability for investors.

I invite European businesses to invest in Ukraine – a country that is steadily moving towards EU membership and is ready to be a reliable partner in our common economic future” – emphasised Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Following the Summit, participants adopted a joint statement on strengthening the economic partnership between Ukraine and the European Union.
