USD 14 million will be invested in building a furniture factory in Khmelnytsky

Construction has begun on a new furniture manufacturing plant for Akkord Import in Khmelnytskyi. The project involves an investment of USD 14 million, and once the production lines are operational, the company’s manufacturing capacity will almost triple – from 420,000 square metres to 1.2 million square metres of furniture per month. This expansion will make the company one of the top five manufacturers of cabinet furniture in Europe.

The first production lines are scheduled to start up in July 2025, with the plant expected to reach full capacity by September. To ensure energy autonomy, a 1.1MW solar power plant has already been installed, with a further 2.8MW under development. The company has also purchased a gas reciprocating engine.

The new plant will create 140 jobs in the region.

Akkord Import currently exports 96% of its products to EU countries. The expansion of production capacity will enable the company to increase exports to the Middle East, South Asia and South America.
