The 7th German-Ukrainian Business Forum, held in Berlin under the motto “Stronger Together: Securing the Future”, served as an important platform for strengthening cooperation between Germany and Ukraine.
Among the distinguished guests were the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, as well as representatives of both governments and business communities. The Forum not only facilitated dialogue between policymakers and business, but also provided an excellent venue for forging new partnerships and initiating joint projects.
During the event, UkraineInvest participated in a business breakfast and hosted an exhibition stand. At the stand, Forum participants had the opportunity to learn about the progress made in Ukraine’s investment legislation, the investment incentives available and the key sectors offering the most promising investment opportunities. UkraineInvest was represented by Maksym Bondarenko, Head of the Investment Advisory Department, and Andrii Ryzvaniuk, Senior Expert in the Department.
In the session “International and bilateral programmes for financing reconstruction projects in Ukraine: Status, Challenges and Prospects”, representatives of UkraineInvest presented Ukraine’s new investment legislation, which creates favourable conditions for the implementation of large-scale investment projects.
Germany has already provided 53 investment guarantees for German projects in Ukraine, with a total value of almost EUR 382 million. Ukraine is grateful for Germany’s support and encourages German companies to increase their investments in strategic sectors such as modernisation of production facilities, introduction of advanced technologies and rehabilitation of infrastructure.
Ukraine’s reconstruction is a unique opportunity to transform the economy, attract foreign capital and implement innovative solutions. Together, we can create new business opportunities, conclude beneficial agreements and contribute to the sustainable development of the Ukrainian economy.
