UkraineInvest and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine have agreed on strategic cooperation to attract investment

UkraineInvest and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine continue to work together to improve the investment climate in Ukraine and attract American investors, especially those with capital investments, to the Ukrainian economy.

During a working meeting at UkraineInvest, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation, priority sectors of the Ukrainian economy for American businesses, current issues affecting US investors, and planned joint efforts for the coming year. Special attention was paid to solving urgent problems of American companies and issues of special interest to them. In particular, they outlined plans to provide American companies with comprehensive analytical information on investment opportunities in Ukraine and to provide consultations to interested investors on the application of the Ukrainian Law “On State Support of Investment Projects with Significant Investments in Ukraine”.

Ukraine has adopted new investment legislation, which came into force in April this year. Despite the challenges of war, it allows private capital to contribute to the country’s reconstruction. The government is implementing reforms to promote industrial parks, public-private partnerships and concessions.

The UkraineInvest team invites American companies to expand their business in Ukraine. With AmCham’s support, American businesses have a unique opportunity to participate in Ukraine’s recovery and help transform its economy. The total investment of the Chamber’s member companies in Ukraine is approximately USD 50 billion, with 85% of them continuing to operate in the country even during the war.
