UkraineInvest works to attract significant investments from the world’s major economies

Legislation on state support for significant investments in Ukraine has been adopted: as you know, the first two projects have already received the status of special investment agreements concluded between the Government of Ukraine and the investor. This demonstrates the successful start of the initiative launched by the President of Ukraine.

In order to attract a significantly larger number of large investors in key sectors of the economy, UkraineInvest has invited Ukrainian economic diplomats to work on attracting such investments.

The main initiatives include the creation of investment zones at embassies, organisation of joint events (online/offline) on investment opportunities in Ukraine, assistance in establishing links with international business associations, etc. Working groups will also be set up to exchange information about investors and their requirements, offer them specific economic zones and organise training seminars for foreign entrepreneurs.

This was announced by the Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest, Oleksandr Melnychenko, during a working meeting with economic diplomats.

“From now on, Ukraine’s economic diplomats will be UkraineInvest’s partners in attracting and supporting significant investments in key sectors of the Ukrainian economy for its recovery and development. I am confident that UkraineInvest’s consistent coordinated work with the economic diplomats will help build the confidence of foreign businesses in Ukraine as a worthy platform for investing their own capital in its reconstruction,” said Oleksandr Melnychenko, Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest.

UkraineInvest continues to support significant investment projects in Ukraine. In accordance with the Law on State Support for Large Investments, UkraineInvest is a key player in attracting and supporting large investments, creating favourable conditions for investors who want to contribute to the recovery and development of our country. In the last 6 months the Office has supported 10 investment projects totalling EUR 1.3 billion.
