This was discussed at the Ukrainian-Polish Round Table “Energy Sector”. The event took place as part of the visit of a delegation of Polish entrepreneurs to Ukraine on the occasion of the Third Forum for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – PAIH “Integration – Economy – Partnership”.
The participants discussed energy renewal in Ukraine and the use of alternative energy sources. In particular, they considered the possibility of using the V2G (Vehicle to Grid) methodology – connecting cars to a common grid to return electricity for balancing and emergency power supply.
Maryna Kytina, Chief Advisor to the Executive Director of UkraineInvest, and Nazar Kohut, Investment Advisor of UkraineInvest, spoke about small and medium-sized enterprises in need of investment and cheap loans to increase production of solar and wind energy.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Ukrenergo and DTEK, as well as Polish companies and institutions from the energy sector also took part in the roundtable.
