UkraineInvest is prepared to support Danish businesses in Ukraine with their investment plans

The Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest assured Jens Alsbirk, Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Danish Embassy in Ukraine, during a working meeting.

The parties discussed potential investment projects, as 

well as Ukraine’s reconstruction needs and the role of private capital in addressing them.

Danish companies are exploring investment sectors in Ukraine despite the ongoing war, according to Jens Alsbirk. Specifically, Danish businesses are interested in Ukraine’s investment climate and opportunities.

Oleksandr Melnychenko urged Danish businesses to contact UkraineInvest for current information on Ukraine’s 

  • investment profile, 
  • financial incentives, 
  • business opportunities, 
  • analytical data from various sectors of the economy, 
  • investment projects from all over Ukraine in a variety of sectors, including agribusiness, energy, IT and innovation, real estate, and objects selected for privatization. 

Nazarii Voliaanskyi, Head of International Relations and Communications at UkraineInvest, invited Danish businesses to participate in a series of investment forums organized by the institution. He emphasized that this could stimulate business development and facilitate the exchange of experience and technology between the two countries. 

As of the beginning of 2022, the total volume of direct investment from Denmark in the Ukrainian economy amounted to USD 342.8 mln.

Danish companies invest the majority of their capital in 

  • agriculture, forestry, and fisheries (26.8%), 
  • manufacturing (23.2%), 
  • wholesale and retail trade and repair (20.5%),  
  • professional, scientific, and technical Activities (17.2%).
