The German company Bayer is investing EUR 60 mln to expand its facilities in the Zhytomyr region

Monsanto’s modern corn seed plant, which was launched in the village of Pochuiky in Zhytomyr region in 2018, is already one of the largest seed plants in Eastern Europe. It supplies corn hybrids not only to Ukrainian farmers but also to farmers in Romania, Hungary and France. The construction of additional facilities will further increase its potential.

The new investments will be used to build a new seed dryer, purchase modern agricultural equipment, build warehouses and two bomb shelters for employees.

Bayer has been operating in Ukraine since 1992 and is represented by the pharmaceutical division, the OTC division, and the agricultural division.

The UkraineInvest team is grateful to Bayer’s management for their cooperation and increased investment in Ukraine.
