Government approves the creation of a new industrial park in Zakarpattia Oblast to provide 745 jobs

On 1 August, the Government decided to include another industrial park, “FWT” LLC, in the Register of Industrial Parks. The new industrial park covers an area of 16.5 hectares and is located in Perechyn, Uzhhorod district, Zakarpattia region.

CEMARK has invested €34 mln in the construction of a cement terminal in the Kyiv region

The complex will be able to receive, store, and ship 450,000 tonnes of cement by road annually. An automated packaging and palletization line is also planned. The new facility will create additional jobs in the region for 80 people. UkraineInvest has been supporting the company since 2020.

The UkraineReady4EU Project has raised €3.75 mln in vouchers for 1,500 Ukrainian businesses 

The Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, together with its partners, won the European Business Bridge grant competition. The UkraineReady4EU Project has raised €3.75 mln worth of vouchers for 1500 Ukrainian businesses affected by russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The project will start in September 2023 and run until 2025.

EESC President: Donor platform for Ukraine increases investor confidence

The establishment of the Donor Coordination Platform in Ukraine, which involves key European institutions, increases investor confidence and facilitates the inflow of investments to Ukraine to restore the country, which is especially important against the backdrop of military threats. This was stated by Oliver Ropke, President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

Up to USD 150 thousand for development: USAID will allocate a new grant package for Ukrainian businesses

Small and medium-sized processing enterprises will be able to receive grants of up to USD 150,000 for development under the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine program. A total of 25 grants will be awarded in the amount of USD 75,000 to USD 150,000.
The grants will support small and medium-sized enterprises in activities that contribute to
– import substitution of russian and belarusian products;
– production of innovative products;
– modernization of production, reduction of manual labour combined with the creation of more highly skilled jobs, etc.
Applications will be accepted until 15 December 2023 (inclusive).

EU4Business announces a call for proposals for large grants of €25,000 each for 30 Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises to develop their businesses 

The total budget of the grants will be €750 thousand.
Ukrainian companies (LLCs) can apply for a grant if they
– create products and services with an innovative component; 
– have a focus on expansion and export.
