Ukraine has been selling agricultural products to foreign markets for many years. In 2022, this indicator reached 53% of the country’s total exports. If half of these products are processed, Ukraine will receive up to $30 billion in additional export earnings each year.
Importing countries process Ukrainian raw materials into high value-added goods. In this way, the foreign processor makes 5-10 times more profit than the Ukrainian companies that grew the products. Agro-processing is one of the key priorities for attracting investment and economic development in Ukraine.
This was highlighted by Sergiy Tsivkach at the forum “FIT for Ukraine: AGRICULTURAL PROCESSING”.
More than 500 participants from over 50 countries attended the third FIT for Ukraine event.
