Ukrainian construction companies are gradually returning to work. On average, about 50% of the country’s residential complexes have resumed their work on construction sites. In calculating the share of construction resumption only those residential complexes were taken into accounts that were under construction in February this year.
According to the Ukrainian real estate search portal LUN, 92% of residential complexes in the Cherkasy region resumed work on construction sites and this is the highest result in Ukraine. Among the western regions, the largest share of construction resumption is seen in the Zakarpattia and Volyn regions – 88% and the lowers one is in the Chernivtsi region – 72%.
The first resumption of construction was observed in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Bucha and Irpin. In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, 17% of residential projects have resumed their work and another 20% – in the Kyiv region, particularly in Bucha and Irpin. As of the end of May, the construction is completely frozen in the Sumy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
