▪ 47% of the installed capacity of renewable power plants is located in the southern regions, where active hostilities are ongoing now. Thus, the vast majority of wind power plants in Ukraine (89% of installed capacity) are built in the southern regions with the greatest wind potential – Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa. Another 9% are located in close proximity to regions with active hostilities. More than half of the wind power plants have already shut down.

▪ 37% of onshore, 35% of roof / facade solar power plants and almost half (48%) of biomass plants and 29% of biogas plants were also in areas of active hostilities.

▪ Currently, some renewable power plants have suspended their operation. As far as, wind turbines, solar panels, power lines, electrical equipment of power plants and substations are systematically destroyed. On top of that, the russian army steal power plant equipment.

▪ Therefore, the damage caused by russian invasion to the property of Ukrainian and international business must be compensated through international litigation.
