“The sky over Ukraine remains open and the state is working to prevent risks for air carriers”, the Ministry of Infrastructure reports

“The sky over Ukraine remains open, the state is working to prevent risks for air carriers”, – a statement from the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

According to it, information about the closure of Ukraine’s airspace is not true. Closure of airspace is a sovereign right of Ukraine; no decision has been made.

Today, the Ministry of Infrastructure held a working meeting with the participation of the leadership of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the State Aviation Service of Ukraine, UkSATSE, Boryspil International Airport and Ukrainian airlines on the situation in the air transportation market. As a result of the meeting, a solution was worked out to prevent further aggravation of the situation.

Most airlines continue to operate without any restrictions. In particular, currently 29 foreign airlines operate flights from 34 countries.

Ukraine is ready to support airlines and plans to provide additional financial guarantees to support the air market. International partners are currently being consulted and relevant government decisions are being prepared.
