On April 5, 2021, representatives of UkraineInvest and the Prosecutor General’s Office held a productive meeting.
While working on addressing the investor problems, UkraineInvest often encounters cases which require response from the law enforcement agencies. Among other things, there are cases of unscrupulous behavior of law enforcement officers towards business. Such cases require a constructive dialogue with representatives of the prosecutor’s office.
During the meeting with the Head of the Department of Criminal Law Policy and Investment Protection Oleksiy Bonyuk, the current problematic issues of investors who applied for support to UkraineInvest were discussed. In addition, possible formats of further cooperation between UkraineInvest and Prosecutor General’s Office in terms of investment protection issues were outlined, in particular in the context of the Law of Ukraine “On State Support of Investment Projects with Significant Investments”.
UkraineInvest Executive Director Sergiy Tsivkach stressed the importance of establishing an effective communication between investors and prosecutors. The procedural capacity of prosecutors in the Department of Criminal Law Policy and Investment Protection will play a major role in this.
